| Kennilworth Aquatic Gardens |

Synopsis: The gardens is the only NPS site devoted to the propagation and display of aquatic plants. The park also contains some of the last remnants of the tidal marsh that Washington was eventually built on. Stamp Location: Stamp is located inside the visitor center, to the left as you walk in (through the gate) from the parking area and is located in northeast Washington, along the tidal Anacostia River. The entrance is just west of I-295 (Kenilworth Avenue), between Quarles and Douglas Streets, on Anacostia Avenue. It can also be obtained at the National Capital Parks East Headquarters (see separate listing). |

Synopsis: Monument commemorates the 'Lost War' veterans, as their momument was built after the Vietnam Memorial, but their war took place before it. It reminds us that 'Freedom is not free'. Stamp Location: Stamp is located at the information kiosk next to the monument, in the Lincoln Memorial giftshop located right next to the monument and from the Survey Lodge on the National Mall. |

Synopsis: Massive memorial is a tribute to Pres. Lincoln and the nation he fought to keep together. Stamp Location: Stamp is located in the bookstore inside the memorial on the western end of the National Mall. The stamp may also be obtained at the Survey Lodge on the eastern end of the National Mall by the Washington Memorial. |

Synopsis: Site preserves building which is one of the last remaining examples of Richardsonian Romanesque Architecture in Washington. Park features a spectacular view from the 270-foot tower observation level, which is one of the best of the nation's capital. Stamp Location: The stamp is kept in an 'information office' on the lower level where the food court is. The tower is on Pennsylvania Ave, just down the street from the White House VC. |
