Haleakala NP

Synopsis: The park preserves the volcanic landscape and fragile ecosystems on Maui.
Stamp Location: There are three visitor centers within the park: the Kipahulu VC on the island ring road (SR 30 here) just south of Hana, the Park Headquarters VC one mile into the park on SR 378 east of Kahului, and the Haleakala VC just before the Pu`u`ula`ula Summit (10,000').

Synopsis: Park protects the largest and most active volcano in the world, as well as its unique ecosystem.
Stamp Location: The Kilauea Visitor Center is located on the Kilauea Caldera on SR 11 30 miles south of Hilo.

Kalaupapa NHP
Park brochure not obtained yet Synopsis: Park commemorates two tragedies that occurred on the Kalaupapa Peninsula on the north shore of the island of Moloka`i; the first was the removal of indigenous people in 1865 and 1895, the second was the forced isolation of sick people to this remote place from 1866 until 1969.
Stamp Location: Stamp is available at the visitor center in Kalaupapa at the Americans of Japanese Ancestry (AJA) Hall. NOTE: All visitors to the park must receive a permit from the Department of Health to enter the Kalaupapa settlement. The commercial tour company arranges the permit for their customers. Call 808.567.6171 for more information.

Kaloko-Honokohau NHP
Park brochure not obtained yet Synopsis: The 1,200 acre park was established for the preservation, protection and interpretation of traditional native Hawaiian activities and culture, and is full of incredible cultural and historical significance.
Stamp Location: Stamp is available at the Vistor Contact Station on Highway 19 half a mile north of the Honokohau Harbor entrance.

Pu`uhonua o Honaunau NHP
Park brochure for Pu`uhonua o Honaunau NHP Synopsis: Park preserves the site that, up until the early 19th century, was a neutral ground of sorts where criminals could be forgiven and warriers a place of refuge. Also home to several generations of powerful chiefs.
Stamp Location: The park is located on the island of Hawaii about 22 miles south of Kailua-Kona. Take SR 11 to SR 160 and follow 4 miles to the park.

Synopsis: Park preserves site where King Kamehameha built a temple and the Hawi`ian Kingdom.
Stamp Location: The information center is located just off SR 270 one mile south of Kawaihae.

USS Arizona Memorial

Synopsis: Park is a memorial to the events of 7 Dec 1941 and the lives lost there.
Stamp Location: Stamp is available in the visitor center next to the boat dock that takes you out to the memorial. Exit 15A off of H-1 and is located on the shoreline overlooking Pearl Harbor directly off of State Highway 99 (Kamehameha Highway) about a 45-minute drive west of Waikiki.
