Day One
Leave Connecticut, Arrive in Florida

Shade Tobacco Barns in ConnecticutThe remarkable thing about Day 1 is that it was the begining. Months of planning and consulting were about to pay off! We had spent hours pouring over possible itineraries, and had finally decided on this one. My bags were packed and I was ready to go! My name is Dave Broer and I am President of LincOn.com Inc. I and a few of my associates of LincOn.com were ready to head out and take a tour of the U.S.!

My afternoon flight from Connecticut to Florida allowed me to finish up some things and recheck what I had packed. This would wind up being less than fruitful as you'll see what happened over the next few days. Anxiety was low because of all the pretrip planning we had done and the certainty that everything would be o.k. I had spent the previous night awake at work and would spend the morning sleeping and arise with everything ready to go.

Arrival at the airport in ConnecticutThe day was kind of cool and sunny which would make for an interesting arrival in Florida. The direct flight was less than adventurous and I arrived in Florida ontime. Its never until you get to your first destination that you get the feeling your vacation has begun.

I hooked up with Steve Salier, head of the Florida operations of customer support and technical operations. We spent the night having a casual dinner with his fiance and then headed to bed for an early rise.
