Day Twenty Five
Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Connecticut

My flight home was afternoon, so we were able to sleep in for a while on this, the last day I would be on the road (or was it?).

When I checked in at the airport, I was informed that my flight had been cancelled, but the airline would reroute me through Orlando and then back home. That was fine with me, as I wasn't exactly in a hurry, although it would be nice to be home again. But, as they say, the best laid plans never come to be. Upon arriving in Orlando it seems that my flight is over booked, and I will be flying out at a later time, which it turns out is tomorrow.

So, I find myself in Orlando, Florida in the middle of the afternoon and have no specific plans. Sure, I could rent a car or go check out Disney World, but I have been on the road for the past 25 days, and just relax in my hotel room and marvel at the traffic in the international airport.

There was a day twenty six, but it was so much an extension of this day, I didn't want to separate them. I returned unceremoniously home, heaved my bags out of the car, and began the long process of re-adjusting myself to these once familiar surroundings.
